With matched-to-fabric machine embroidery thread in the top of the machine and matching or bobbin thread in the bobbin set your machine to satin stitch. On my Bernina I set my stitch width to 2 and stitch length to 0.3. Satin stitch over the raw edges stitching first the gold edges, the white edges, the red edges and last, the navy blue edges.
