Notice that some of the stitches on the top thread may have come loose. This is because the fusible thread is made of nylon and the monofilament thread is made of polyester. The nylon melts and the polyester doesn’t so the top thread slides through the melted bobbin thread. You can now pull away that top thread because you don’t need it anymore.
